Subject: More Xmas nonsense
Roxy,
Remember I complained about dad starting a project painting the family room at time when most people clean-up for Xmas holidays?
Well, the cat proved himself a true Wacyk and joined in the fun. He dragged in a live field vole.
Usually he enjoys eating them, but this time he decided to acquire a toy. Dad actually saw him chasing it around the kitchen and dad made no move to grab it until it was too late and mole hid in a “blind” section behind a cabinet. ( Usually I can rescue the voles easily, since they are slower than mice or chipmunks. )
Of course the cat lost interest. He was stalking it a little bit this morning in dining room, but lost sight of it and is now sleeping the sleep of the innocent.
Voles are rather large and blackish, 6 inches from tip of nose to tip of hairy tail. The problem with them is that they eat seeds and roots, you cannot use a mousetrap baited with peanut butter or cheese or kobasa. You cannot use a mouse trap at all. And they are active in daytime. Hopefully, it was not pregnant.
If the cat drags in another live animal, such as a toad, I am moving in with you.
Venting does make me feel better=D

Subject: cat
Well, the cat may have gobbled the vole. It threw-up three times. On chair, on sofa, and on the bed. Now it is stretched-out in kitchen giving me the evil eye.
